CCC Certificate of Conformity to export to China

Knowledge of the technical requirements for an accurate risk analysis is essential in order to create products that comply with the regulations in effect in the target markets. Specifically, the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) regulations, in effect since 1 May 2002, oversee a wide range of products with the aim of ensuring health, safety, and protecting the ecosystem. The whole regulatory system is headed by a specific state body, the CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration); when drafting the specific rules, however, the CNCA relies on an operating body called the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC).

The product families that must undergo CCC Certification procedures and display the corresponding mark are divided into specific subcategories and can be identified based on their respective customs codes (HS classification).

China continues to increase the number of products subject to specific technical regulations before they can be marketed. The whole regulatory system is headed by a specific state body, the CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration); when drafting the specific rules, however, the CNCA relies on an operating body called the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC).

CQC is also responsible for defining the procedures for issuing the mandatory mark that must be applied to all product categories covered by the regulations. The product families that must comply with the CCC certification procedures and bear the corresponding marking are:

  • Mobile telephones
  • Cables and electric wires
  • Low-voltage components for domestic and industrial use
  • Small electric motors
  • Electrical equipment and devices
  • Welding machines
