Inspections

Ultrasonic Thickness testing

Ultrasonic Thickness testing must be carried out during periodic integrity Inspections, as stated in Article 12 of DM 329/04.
Voluntary, but valuable: certifications and inspections that add value, safety, and credibility to your work.

Our service

Thickness measurements are checks that allow us to “see inside” materials without damaging them, to understand whether a metal surface is still in good condition or if it shows signs of corrosion.

Using ultrasonic instruments and qualified technicians, we assess the condition of tanks, equipment and metal structures, ensuring safety and reliability over time.

It is a practical way in which we at ECO Certificazioni help companies prevent problems and keep their systems efficient.

When are Thickness Measurements required?

Thickness measurements must be carried out during periodic integrity Inspections, as required by Article 12 of DM 329/04. They are also required when the commissioning inspection has not been carried out by INAIL on older equipment.

Through these measurements, we can promptly identify corrosion phenomena or wall thinning, reducing the risk of failures and ensuring regulatory compliance.

How are they carried out?

Thermographic inspections allow us to “see” heat, identifying in a simple and non-invasive way anomalies that could cause failures or inefficiencies.

Thanks to specialised thermal cameras, we convert the thermal energy emitted by an object into detailed images, called thermograms, which show temperature differences on surfaces.

Through thermography, we can identify hidden issues in advance, improve safety and optimise system maintenance, saving time and costs.

We assess the condition of tanks, equipment and metal structures, ensuring safety and reliability over time.
